Enable Changes Detection Capture (CDC) for Custom Entities

To synchronize your data efficiently, Stacksync must detect incremental changes, that is new, updated and deleted records, without repeatedly scanning entire tables. Stacksync’s change data capture (CDC) relies on the Change Tracking feature in Dynamics 365, which you must enable for Custom entities you plan to sync. The following section explains how to turn on change tracking so Stacksync can reliably capture those incremental updates.

Standard entities have change tracking enabled by default, no action required. This guide is only for custom entities.

  1. Expand Dataverse, and then select Tables.

  2. Select a table, and then in Table properties select Properties.

  3. In the Edit table page, expand Advanced options.

  4. In the For this table section, enable the Track Changes checkbox.

  5. Select Save.
