Docs MCP Server
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other AI assistants to the Stacksync documentation
The Docs MCP server lets your AI assistant search, read and ask questions about the Stacksync documentation while it works. It is public and requires no sign-in or API key. The server uses the Model Context Protocol over streamable HTTP.
https://docs.stacksync.com/api/mcpThe Docs MCP server reads the documentation only. To let your assistant build and manage two-way syncs, workflows and Genies in your Stacksync workspace, connect the Stacksync MCP. Connect both, and your assistant looks up how Stacksync works here and carries out the work through the Stacksync MCP.
Connect your AI assistant
In Claude on the web or desktop, open Customize → Connectors, select + Add, then Add custom connector. Name the connector Stacksync Docs and enter the server URL https://docs.stacksync.com/api/mcp.
What your assistant can do
- Search the documentation and get the best-matching pages, with their sections and Markdown links (
search). - Read any page in full as Markdown (
get_page), or list every page (list_pages). API Reference pages return the operation: its path, parameters, request body, answers, a curl example and its errors. - Ask a question and get an answer written from the documentation, with links to its sources (
ask). It is the same assistant as Ask AI on this site, and is also available without MCP through the Ask API.
Example requests:
- "Using the Stacksync docs, how do I set up a two-way sync between Salesforce and PostgreSQL?"
- "Search the Stacksync docs for the Salesforce OAuth error and explain how to resolve it."
- "Read the Stacksync API Proxy quick start and write a Python script that lists HubSpot contacts through it."
- "Using the Stacksync API reference, write a script that lists the queues of my workspace."
